The Wizard of O2 I bought this for my kids and they said they loved it. I ended up having a read and enjoyed it too. So I think the story works well for all age groups. The Wizard of Oz references are quite clever and the artwork is excellent too, really adorable. We hope the creators do another one.

Knights of the Golden Sun #2 Knights of the Golden Sun presents a compelling storyline set around 400 B.C. where God has abandoned his throne and left his archangels to endure and watch over humanity. The storyline has a decent amount of drama, action and development in both story and characters with utterly beautiful artwork. Utterly loved it, looking forward to reading #3.

The Art of Conan Sourcebook The Art of Conan Sourcebook is absolutely incredible. I don't play the role playing game, but I have an appreciation of Conan. This book gathers together all of the art work form their RPG and supplements and places it in one book full of just art with a few paragraphs of descritptions here and there to set the scene. Overall, an incredible book.

Spook vol. 0

Spook vol. 0 Includes two "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" style comics, both well drawn and with interesting panel breaking choices. I don't want to spoil them but I found them very nostalgic of the kind of spooky stories you'd hear as a kid. My favorite part is probably the full page art in the back, detailed set pieces that tell a story in just one picture. I'm looking forward to any follow-ups.

Love Witch

Love Witch "In an age before the rise of human civilizations, empires ruled by aliens and gods dominated the Earth. Prominent among these was Atlantis. This nation had its roots in a solar system far removed from our own, and they colonized the Sol system through a mixture of technology and magic that was the hallmark of their civilization." So what exactly is Neulow Games The Love Witch? Well its all about a hybrid of graphic novel or comic book old school Seventies goodness & Miller's game design according to him ; " The Love Witch contains three exciting tales that mix high fantasy and horror by master comics-scribe Marv Wolfman, with gorgeous art by Ernie Colon, Don Heck, and others. The book also contains an all-new feat and talent-based magic system that can be brought into any d20 System and which is far more flexible than is typical, as it is not tied to any class- or level-based abilities." And its within these abilities & gaming design that Miller...

Judge Dredd Case File #5: Red Dredd Redemption Ridiculous price for 4 or 5 pages pdf. no maps included so if you want to buy this to save preparation time...forget that. it is not even a good or full scenario but a short encounter. not what i expected....total waste of money. 5 bucks for just an idea of a scene? a stat block steals at least half a page. google for old judge dredd adventures and buy the old white dwarf issues with jd scenarios. for 2 bucks you get a complete adventure with a damn good story (maps included). you have to imporovise stats from games workshop jd to woin...but that is no problem with the npcs in the rule book....

USAGI YOJIMBO ROLE-PLAYING GAME 2nd Edition
by Angelo P.
Publisher: Sanguine Productions

USAGI YOJIMBO ROLE-PLAYING GAME 2nd Edition This is one of my favorite implementations of a Powered by the Apocalypse system. It uses the Weak / Strong / Grand scale of challenge and success that I first encountered in Far Flung. I enjoy this because it enables storytelling in an intuitive way, one that fits the rising arc of escalating danger so common in stories of heroism. The "classes" feel authentic, and when I use the system I strip out the animal-aspects and just let folks assign a combination of +2 / -2 as they see fit. You could play out any number of stories and movies, from Seven Samurai to 13 Assassins to Shogun. It would be easy to file off the serial numbers and play a game of The Lord of the Rings with this; once you understand the system it lends itself to telling those kinds of stories. Like any new system, it takes a hot minute to understand how the roles fit together. At the begining, the character abilities feel a ittle mechanically indistinct. At first I worried this would be a little borin...

The Last Barrow Stunning artwork makes this worth the purchase even if no other gaming interest is involved. The burial mound detail lends itself to easy incorporation into any game and the rules conversions make the process of running the encounters very straightforward for many systems. Conceptually, the structure has been useful to me for solving the riddle of cultural interactions involving burial practices of superceded races in Bronze Age Wales with which I was struggling so I am looking forward to unleashing this on the players!...

The Carrion Sea
by Pete W.
Publisher: Envision Comics and Books
Date Added: 12/14/2020 12:40:15
The Carrion Sea Packed with dramatic imagery, a Cormac McCarthy influence is apparent in McCumaskey's prose and some of the otherworldly passages invoke flashes of H.P Lovecraft. Plot-wise, The Carrion Sea brings to mind the classic Beowulf and draws on themes such as perseverance, rebirth and sacrifice. This is a compelling debut from a clearly talented author.

Stardust the Super Wizard

Stardust the Super Wizard "Stardust the Super Wizard is a name spoken in hushed whispers throughout the universe, He uses his vast knowledge of interplanetary science and sorcery to monitor all inhabited worlds, and when he finds beings he considers exceptionally evil or vile, he dispenses the justice he feels they deserve. Once you've incurred the wrath of the Super Wizard, you are done for!" For many now the Nuelow games universe setting has been one that we've been dipping into for many years. A combination of public domain comic book series & supplement the whole book is more then the combination of its parts. This formula is one that allows Nuelow to flesh out characters such as Stardust The Super Wizard; "Stardust the Super Wizard from NUELOW Games collects six tales from the Golden Age of Comics by one or its most eccentric and erratic creators, Fletcher Hanks. Although he only worked in comics for a brief time during 1939 to 1941, the over-the-top nature of his work left...
